COLLEGE CAREER – The Saints nabbed their second highly-regarded young defensive tackle in the 2008 NFL Draft by selecting Pressley in the fifth-round. He opened 31 of 42 games during his career at North Carolina State, including 21 at right defensive tackle, seven at left tackle and three at left end. He posted career totals of 145 tackles (94 solo), 4.5 sacks, 21 stops for losses, two forced fumbles, a pair of interceptions and a fumble recovery. 2007 – Opened seven of 10 games at left defensive tackle, and recorded 41 tackles (28 solo) with 1.5 sacks, seven stops for losses and eight quarterback pressures…Also broke up one pass and intercepted two others…Earned honorable mention All-ACC honors. 2006 – Second-team All-ACC choice…Started eleven games…Lined up at right defensive tackle in nine contests and started two at left defensive end...Recorded 46 tackles (30 solo) with two sacks, seven stops for losses of 18 yards and two pressures…Caused one fumble and deflected a pass…Posted eight tackles (5 solo), including a 2-yard sack of QB Matt Ryan vs. Boston College. 2005 – Named the team’s Most Dependable Defensive Lineman and Most Improved Lineman, in addition to picking up Academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference honors…Started all 12 games at right defensive tackle, recording 43 tackles (27 solos) with a sack, six stops for losses and four pressures…Caused and recovered a fumble…Also deflected one pass. 2004 – Only true freshman on defense to start a game, lining up at left defensive end vs. Maryland…Recorded 15 tackles (9 solos) with a stop for a 5-yard loss in 11 games.

PERSONAL – Graduated in December, 2007 with a degree in Sports Management…Resides in Greensboro, N.C., where he attended Dudley HS…Parade All-American and first-team All-USA Today selection…Had 28 sacks over his final two prep seasons…Also played center for school’s basketball team and competed in track & field, throwing the shot put.
