NFL CAREER – Entering his fourth season with the Saints, Simoneau looks to return to form after missing all of 2008 following back surgery after an injury during the preseason. When healthy, Simoneau has been a solid addition for New Orleans since being acquired in a trade with Philadelphia on the eve of the 2006 season. With the Saints, he has recorded 170 tackles, three sacks and an interception while playing in 32 contests, starting 30. Initially a third-round pick by Atlanta in 2000, Simoneau spent three years with the Falcons before being traded to the Eagles. He was re-signed by the Saints prior to the 2008 season.
