NFL CAREER – Over the last two seasons, Lake has evolved into an important part of the defensive line rotation, adding depth and size to the interior of the front. He turned in one of his finest seasons in 2007, starting a personal single-season high seven games and notching a career-best 25 tackles to rank fourth among defensive linemen. Lake, originally claimed off waivers during the 2006 preseason, also recovered a fumble and knocked down a pair of passes while appearing in 15 contests. Including stints with Atlanta (2003-05) and Detroit (2002), in his career Lake has played in 68 NFL games (12 starts) and has recorded 80 stops, 5.5 sacks and a pair of forced fumbles.
