NFL CAREER – Reis has been a valuable performer on the special teams for the last two seasons, playing in 29 games since joining the club. In 2008 he also saw an increased role on defense, including recording the first sack of his career. Signed by the Saints from the practice squad in 2007, Reis has posted 29 special teams stops in his career and forced a fumble last season.

2008 – Played in 15 games, primarily on special teams, inactive vs. Minnesota, Oct. 6, with a hamstring injury…Finished tied for third on the team with 16 special teams tackles…Had first career sack at Washington, Sept. 14…Forced a fumble in kickoff coverage that was recovered by Usama Young and led to a touchdown vs. San Diego, Oct. 26…Had a career-high four special teams stops vs. Green Bay, Nov. 24…Saw extended action on defense vs. Carolina, Dec. 28 and had four tackles, added two on special teams. 2007 – Played in 14 games, primarily on special teams, and made 13 tackles in kick coverage as well as three solo stops as a reserve defensive back…Signed to active roster Sept. 24 and made his NFL debut that night against Tennessee…Recorded a season-best two special teams stops three times…Saw his first extended action on defense at Atlanta, Dec. 10, making three solo tackles at safety.

COLLEGE – Two-year starter at Georgia Tech, totaling 195 tackles, 10.5 sacks, three interceptions and 10 pass defenses as he made 24 starts…Started at safety as a senior and made 84 tackles with a pair of interceptions…Named honorable mention All-Atlantic Coast Conference at outside linebacker in his junior year as he led the team with eight sacks among his 70 tackles…Three-time member of the ACC All-Academic football team (2003-04-05)…Received the Georgia Tech Academic Excellence Award following his senior season…Awarded the Captain's Captain Award and the Total Person Award at Tech's annual Yellow Jacket Celebration…Majored in Management.

PERSONAL – Totaled 226 tackles and 10 interceptions and also played wide receiver and caught 183 passes for 2,595 yards while at Roswell (Ga.)
