Hailing from the glorious green city of Greenwood, MS, Devonte can't wait to experience his first season as a member of the Saints Cheer Krewe.
After graduating high school, Devonte attended Hinds Community College in Utica, MS. He was honored to receive membership in Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, along with being appointed captain of the cheerleading squad two years running. Devonte received an Associate Degree in Applied Science and a certification in Cosmetology to then further his education at Jackson State University. During his undergraduate years, Devonte joined the JSU cheer team, where he was granted the opportunity to lead such an amazing team as captain for two consecutive years. After graduating and receiving his Bachelors in Business Administration, he went back home to work a full-time career in cosmetology and work as Assistant Manager of a department store.
Despite his fear of heights, Devonte knew in high school that he wanted to be a cheerleader. He therefore made it happen by attending college. "Although I'm no longer in college, my love for this sport hasn't diminished. The passion I have for cheer continually resonates, and I knew there was so much more I still had left to do. With this team, I am excited to continue developing my abilities and ready to reignite the fire I have for cheer. I am extremely grateful for this chance. I can't wait to cheer on the Saints alongside the best fans in the NFL!"
