Katherine is overjoyed to be welcomed back to the Dome this season as a fourth year, Veteran and a Team Captain with the New Orleans Saintsations!
Katherine was born and raised in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, where she fell in love with liberal arts, particularly dancing at a young age. She began dancing for the Academy of Dance Arts at the age of three, and was showcased in a variety of shows, including the Royal Russian Ballet's rendition of "The Nutcracker". In high school, Katherine was Senior Captain of the Cape Central Tiger Dancers and a cast member of "Starz on the Rise", a local performing arts group.Â
Following high school, Katherine attended the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi, where she obtained a Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality Management. During her time at Ole Miss, Katherine participated in many activities including Phi Mu sorority, Alpha Lambda Honors fraternity, and multiple dance companies – Ole Miss Student Dance, Mississippi the Dance Company, and Hinge.Â
Upon graduation from Ole Miss, Katherine began her journey to Louisiana where she kick started her career in non-profits and events planning as well as achieving a personal dream of becoming an NFL cheerleader. She is humbled to serve as an Activities Director for a multi-million dollar geriatrics healthcare corporation which owns and operates more than 50 facilities in two states. Although living and working in New Orleans was a new experience for Katherine, her natural curiosity and resourcefulness guided her in accepting challenges with optimism, enthusiasm, and a determination to absorb every aspect. She describes Louisiana as natural fit and feels blessed to be here.
