Paulina is excited to return for her fourth season as a member of the New Orleans Saints Cheer Krewe.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, Paulina began her classical ballet and rhythmic gymnastics training at the age of four. She later incorporated other dance genres into her training including jazz, lyrical, flamenco, tap, contemporary, hip-hop, and Russian folk dancing, and went on to compete and perform both nationally and internationally. Paulina's hard work and dedication to dance is paralleled by her passion for medicine.
As an undergraduate at UCLA, Paulina taught dance therapy lessons to elderly patients suffering from osteoporosis and co-authored three papers related to bone tissue engineering and pathology. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Psychobiology at UCLA, she moved to New Orleans and received her Master's in Pharmacology at Tulane University. Paulina is now studying to become a doctor at Tulane University School of Medicine. She is currently in her fourth year of medical school and is interested in reconstructive surgery and regenerative medicine. Outside of her medical studies and duties as a Saints Cheer Krewe member, Paulina works as a part-time researcher at the Tulane Center for Stem Cell Research and Regenerative Medicine. She also holds executive leadership positions in the Otolaryngology (ENT) Student Interest Group and the Social Contexts in Medicine (SCIM) elective.
"I am thankful for the opportunity to dance for the best team in the NFL and to share this experience with my incredible teammates. Medicine is my passion, but dance is my medicine. As a Saints Cheer Krewe member, I hope to inspire members of our community to pursue activities that promote their health and well-being."
