Sammie is ecstatic to have been chosen to represent Saints Cheer Krewe and cannot wait to begin her rookie season cheering on the New Orleans Saints in the Dome!
Sammie graduated from Louisiana Tech University with her Bachelors in Fashion Merchandising! While attending Louisiana Tech University she was a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority and a 3-year member of the Louisiana Tech Cheer team starting her Sophomore year. While cheering at LA Tech she was Red team Captain her second year on the team. She started off her collegiate athlete journey as a Pole-Vaulter for the LA Tech Track & Field team her Freshman year of college.
Before Cheering at the collegiate level Sammie was put in gymnastics classes at 18 months old and continued into doing competitive gymnastics in her hometown for 14 years until she graduated high school at the age of 18. She was Vault, Beam, and Floor Champion along with All-Around State Champion her first year competing and continued to win those titles many years after that in her gymnastics career. She has stayed in the gymnastics world continuing to coach for the past 5 years!
Currently Sammie works for Varsity Spirit as a Universal Cheerleading Association staff instructor, coaching and creating choreography on the Highschool and Collegiate levels. She enjoys teaching and coaching a sport that has given her so much!
