Getting to Atlanta
There is one international airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, located 10 miles from downtown along with 13 rental car agencies.
For public transportation from the airport, hop on the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) located at the airport right off baggage claim. You can be downtown within 20 minutes and one-way fares are only $2.50. Cabs are also available for around $30-$40 to various locations. Be persistent and insist on being charged only the flat rate when using a taxi from the airport. Ride share programs are available in the North and South economy parking lots.
If you prefer driving, New Orleans to Atlanta will take you approximately eight hours. The easiest route is Interstate 10 E to I-65 N to I-85 N. There are a few RV parks outside the city, including Atlanta South RV Resort and Stone Mountain RV Sites, which are available for traveling fans. AMTRAK train rides are also an option. Trains depart daily from New Orleans at 7:00AM and arrive in Atlanta at 7:35PM. For tickets and more information, click here.
Getting to Mercedes-Benz Stadium
Most fans use public transportation by taking the MARTA to Mercedes Benz Stadium. One-day ($9) and three-day ($16) passes are available - please check their official site for the latest routes, schedules, and fares. Fans can also take advantage of 50% off uberX or uberPOOL rides from the nearest MARTA station.
Fans driving to the Mercedes-Benz Stadium from downtown takes about 10 minutes trip and walking (0.8 mi) takes about 20 minutes however fans are encouraged to download the Saints Mobile App presented by Verizon and utilize Waze for the best gameday route.
