There is one international airport, Charlotte Douglas International Airport, located seven miles from the Bank of America Stadium. There are eight rental car agencies - Advantage, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National/Alamo and Thrift. Rideshare programs are available on the Arrivals/Baggage Claim level (lower level outside Zone E). The starting rate to Uptown Charlotte is $13 but is subject to change. You can also hail a cab from Charlotte International to uptown for about $25. For public transportation, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) picks up in front of Zone D Baggage Claim.
If you prefer driving, New Orleans to Charlotte will take you approximately 11.5 hours. The easiest route is Interstate 10 E to I-85 N to I-75 N to I-277 S. For those who don't want to drive but want to enjoy the scenic ride, opt for a train. AMTRAK has trains leaving daily from New Orleans at 7 a.m. and arriving in Charlotte at 1:21 a.m. the following morning. For tickets and more information visit here.
Getting to Bank of America Stadium
If you don't want to drive and park your best option is the LYNX light rail station, just blocks away along Stonewall Street. There are a number of stations to the south of the stadium that offer free parking. Each station has a ticket kiosk that allows fans to purchase a single-day or round-trip pass, and trains run uptown every 10-15 minutes. For more information on ticketing and scheduling, visit here.
Parking at Bank of America Stadium
There are a few options for parking at the Bank of America Stadium. Pre-paid parking is guaranteed and you can reserve your spot here. There are more than 30,000 cash parking spaces within a 10-15 minute walk of the stadium. Parking operators lease parking spaces on a game-by-game basis. Public Transportation
Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is Charlotte's public transportation system. A one-day unlimited can be purchased for $6. Be sure to visit the website for all fares and discounts. There are also plenty of cab and private car companies in the Charlotte area.
