New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees was named the FedEx Air Player of the Week and RB Mark Ingram was selected as the Ground Player of the Week, the NFL announced Friday. Fans vote for the awards each week of the regular season.
Brees and Ingram were honored for their performances in the Saints' 49-17 win over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday night.
The announcement marks the third time Brees has been named the FedEx Air Player of the Week. It's Ingram's first Ground Player of the Week award of his career.
Brees was also named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
Brees threw for 392 yards and four touchdowns and Ingram rushed for 145 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys.
In 2013, Brees has completed 247 of 363 passes (68.0%) for 3,072 yards, 25 touchdowns, seven interceptions, one rushing touchdown and a 108.9 passer rating. He currently ranks second in the NFL in passing yardage, passer rating and touchdown passes.
Ingram has rushed 35 times for 195 yards and a touchdown this season.
