Here are your Five Things to Know about the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday, Aug. 27:
1. The Saints will now have to cut the roster down from 90 active players to 53 by 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday, Aug. 27. Dennis Allen will speak with the media on Tuesday at 4 p.m. which Saints fans will be able to watch live on NewOrleansSaints.com as well as Saints social media platforms.
2. The locker room will be open to media before Dennis Allen's availability. Saints fans can check out any player interviews from the locker room on NewOrleansSaints.com.
3. Senior writer John DeShazier will have a story recapping the days events later in the evening. Catch up on his latest story discussing the second-string quarterback battle between Jake Haener and Spencer Rattler.
4. NewOrleansSaints.com will curate a faces of the roster gallery so fans can get to know the entire 53-man roster. Stay tuned for the release after roster cut-downs.
5. Just because a player gets cut today, does not mean they might not find their way back to the Saints as starting at 11:00 a.m. CT on Aug. 28, teams around the NFL can begin filling out their practice squads.
