Joe Vitt: "Will Smith was beloved, he was a great leader. He was a tough football player. The only time that Will Smith would talk is when things were going bad. He was the guy that kind of brought our team together during tough times. Will was tough. He would have been a great coach."

Reggie Bush: "That's also the reason why I wear Will Smith's jersey when I come to the games, because, he was a part of this process, Will was a great leader on the football field. He led by example. He wasn't as vocal, he wasn't the kind of the loud ra ra vocal guy, but he led by example. To me it's an honor to be able to wear his jersey because of what he stood for and just how beloved he was here in this town. Just the significant impact that he had. His role in us winning the Super Bowl, winning a championship. He lived here as well after football."

Tracy Porter: "He was one of the vets that I looked up to. He took me under his wing and was like my big brother on the football team because he didn't tell me what I wanted to hear. He understood what it took to win. Will was just one of those guys that not only myself, but everyone kind of gravitatde to because he wanted to win, but he was also a caring, loving guy. He taught me what it was like to be a pro."

Scott Fujita: "Will was such a core part of that group and our Brotherhood and when you talk about walking together forever, we'll always envision Will being there with you."

Jermon Bushrod: "I saw Will every day for six straight years, he was a very competitive person, but he was a good man. He mentored me from the very beginning, he put a lot of time into this game and he was very successful at what he did. Will showed his appreciation of me to other people, introducing me to older guys that he had played with and that's an honor I'll never forget."

Jonathan Vilma: "Will Smith was one of the best teammates I ever played with. I was grateful to have played with a guy who gave everything he had to football and his family. He was a special player, a role model on and off the field, and a great friend. Will's induction is a reminder how valuable he was to the team and to the city of New Orleans, this honor is well deserved and frankly long overdue. He personified what it meant to be a New Orleans Saint."
