Here are your Five Things to Know about the New Orleans Saints on Monday, June 3:
- The Saints head into their seventh day of organized team activities with the OTAs concluding on Thursday, June 6. Wednesday June 5 will be the last practice open to the the media. During OTAs there is no live contact, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are permitted.
- The newest episode of the Saints Podcast will be released later in the day. It will cover the Night of Worship event Saints quarterback Derek Carr and linebacker Demario Davis are hosting with interviews from both players.
- Erin Summers will speak one-on-one with Carr later in the day and Saints fans can check it out when it releases on NewOrleansSaints.com.
- It was announced on Thursday, May 30 that Saints legend Drew Brees will be inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame. Be sure to catch up on all the coverage from the announcement including the nine best quotes from the event, photos of Brees at the announcement and at that days practice, and video of his speech, his question and answer session and a video tribute in honor of the occasion.
- One story Brees told during his ceremony was how the team saw one fan they nicknamed 'Red' and his family in particular change through the years from their film study. NewOrleansSaints.com spoke with that fan who's real name is Michael Lester Sr. about being mentioned by Brees. "It's definitely put me on Cloud 9 to know that all these years we've been watching them, he's been watching us grow and see that this is a family tradition," Lester said.
