HOUSTON (AP) -A confident Kareem Jackson sees no reason why he won't be ready to start for the Texans this season.
Jackson, the 20th overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday, is expected to replace Dunta Robinson as Houston's starting right cornerback. He was introduced in Houston on Friday.
The Alabama product started as a freshman for the Crimson Tide and says he doesn't see starting as a rookie as pressure.
He says playing in the ultra-competitive Southeastern Conference prepared him for the role.
Texans defensive coordinator Frank Bush says Jackson brings a physical and attacking presence that should make Houston's defense tougher.
