Atlanta - New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram on Sunday surpassed 1,000 yards rushing for the 2016 season.
Ingram, who became the Saints' first 1,000-yard rusher since Deuce McAllister achieved the feat in 2006, needed 60 yards Sunday vs. the Atlanta Falcons to hit the milestone. The former Heisman Trophy winner and Saints first-round pick hit the mark in the fourth quarter on a 38-yard run.
Ingram's previous career high was 964 yards in 2014. He also moved into third place on the team's all-time rushing yardage list.
