Drew Brees' march into the NFL record books Monday night delivered a big local rating for ESPN and an increase nationally when compared to 2017.
According to a press release from ESPN on Tuesday morning, the combined rating in New Orleans (ESPN's broadcast and the simulcast of the broadcast on WDSU) was 53.5. In Washington, D.C., the combined rating was 20.6.
Nationally the game garnered a 7.3 overnight rating, up 4 percent vs. last year's game between the Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears.
