New Orleans Saints vs Los Angeles Rams - Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater
On his thoughts on being traded to the Saints:
"I was excited, just because I knew there was another opportunity out there for me. I have been all about opportunities since I was able to step back out on the football field. This is an opportunity for me to grow as a man and as a football player."
On waiting to get a chance to start:
"I definitely do not mind waiting. For me, I get to take advantage of this opportunity. Like I said, I get to grow as a man and as a football player. I have been following this offense since I was in college and to be a part of it now is a great feeling. You watch the tape and look at the numbers and things like that and you say 'wow', it is a unique opportunity to be a part of something like that. For me, I do not mind waiting; I get to learn from one of the best players to ever play this game and get to be in the room with a great group of guys; I get to learn from coach (Sean) Payton also, so I look forward to that."
On his thought on his preseason performance:
"I think it was a pretty solid preseason. I think I moved the ball well when I was in there with the guys, brought the energy and instilled confidence in those guys. Being back out there and playing football again after two years was the most exciting part about it. Being able to live out my dream and play football."
