Former New Orleans Saints star linebacker Rickey Jackson will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday

Former New Orleans Saints star linebacker Rickey Jackson will appear at the Saints Hall of Fame Museum on Sunday, Jan. 20 from noon-1 pm., prior to the NFC championship game between the New Orleans Saints and Los Angeles Rams.

A native of Pahokee, Fla,, Jackson was part of the famed Dome Patrol of the New Orleans Saints, voted the best linebacker corps in NFL history by NFL Network. Jackson played for the Saints from 1981-1993. He is the all-time leader in sacks for the Saints and ranks third in games played in team history. Jackson won a Super Bowl with San Francisco in 1995. Among his many honors, Jackson was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2010, the Saints Ring of Honor in 2013, the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame and the Greater New Orleans Sports Hall of Fame in 1999 and the Saints Hall of Fame in 1997.

In NFL history, Jackson ranks 16th in sacks (128) and among defensive players, he is third in fumble recoveries (29).

Jackson will be available for pictures and autographs.

All holding tickets to the game will be admitted free on game day.

Located at Gate B on the Plaza Level of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, the Saints Hall of Fame Museum is open for two hours prior to each Saints home game and for 45 minutes following each home game.

The museum is available by appointment weekdays between 9 am-2 pm by appointment at a cost of $10 for adults, $5 for seniors (60 and over), children 12 and under and military. Groups of 10 or more are $5 per person as well.
