<span style=""> <span style="text-decoration: underline;">ROAF, BIRRCHER TO BE HONORED AT SAINTS HALL OF FAME LUNCHEON</span>
Former New Orleans Saints left tackle William Roaf will be formally inducted into the Saints Hall of Fame on Friday, September 26 at noon at the Landmark Hotel in Metairie. Roaf, who played nine seasons with the Saints from 1993-2001, was named All-Pro (first or second team) seven times while with the Saints and was elected to seven consecutive Pro Bowls from 1994-2000 as a member of the New Orleans Saints. Both are the most by any player in New Orleans Saints history. In addition. Roaf was named to the NFL's 1990's All-Decade Team. In 2000, Roaf was a pivotal part of the Saints NFC South title team and the first playoff win in franchise history, 31-28 over the defending world champion St. Louis Rams.
Barra Birrcher will receive the Joe Gemelli Fleur De Lis award, symbolic of supporting and serving the New Orleans Saints in substantive fashion. Birrcher spent 36 years working for the New Orleans Saints as Entertainment Director, Program Advertising Director, Coordinator of Donor Requests, Travel Director and Director of Marketing. He retired in 2007, following the 2006 season. The New Orleans native served on the NFL staff for five Super Bowls and served as the United Way Coordinator for the New Orleans Saints. He is a graduate of Jesuit High School and the University of New Orleans.
