The New Orleans Saints have elevated linebacker Isaiah Stalbird to the active roster from the practice squad (standard elevation) for Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles and downgraded the game status of tight end Taysom Hill (chest) from questionable to doubtful.

If the Dallas victory was indicative of how the New Orleans Saints (2-0) would respond after having overwhelmed Carolina the prior week, then there shouldn't be concern about whether they'll be ready Sunday against the Eagles (1-1) in the Caesars Superdome. Tom McNeill, the punter on the original 1967 New Orleans Saints team who still holds the record for longest punt in team history (81 yards), passed away Saturday. He was 81. McNeill was signed by the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of Stephen F. Austin in 1967. In his seven-year career in the NFL he appeared in 66 games with the Saints, Vikings and Eagles.
