<span>The New Orleans Saints have hired Brian Adams as Assistant Director of College Scouting, it was announced today by Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis and Director of College Scouting Rick Reiprish.
"We've restructured our college scouting department and Brian is an experienced, smart talent evaluator who we targeted as someone who can help find the right players who will make our team better," said Loomis. "He will work closely with Rick Reiprish in training and supervising our scouting staff."
Adams has served as a college scout for the Carolina Panthers for the last seven seasons, joining the club as an area scout. His NFL career began in 1982 with the Cleveland Browns, working in a coaching administrative position. Adams moved from coaching to scouting in 1989, where he remained until the organization's move to Baltimore in 1995.
In 2008, Adams will enter his 22nd season in the NFL. In 2000, he served as one of only three scouts for the XFL.
