On Aug. 21, 2006 New Orleans Saints Coach Sean Payton made his coaching debut as the New Orleans Saints took on the Dallas Cowboys at Independence Stadium in Shreveport, La., in a preseason game.

Payton faced his former mentor Bill Parcells who was the head coach of the Dallas Cowboys at the time.
