On September 24, 2007 the New Orleans Saints signed former safety Chris Reis.

Reis went on to play for the Saints from 2007-2010.

He was a member of the Super Bowl XLIV team.

Reis is credited with recovering punter Thomas Morstead's "Ambush" onside kick during the Super Bowl.
