Dave Desposito, who oversees the filming of all games and practices and edits the video on a daily basis for the coaches, scouts and front office personnel, enters his 22nd season with the New Orleans Saints as video director.
Desposito's responsibilities include breaking down the opponent's weekly game video and keeping a detailed archive for the coaching staff. Under his supervision, the Saints have also installed a state-of-the-art, digital editing system networked throughout the building via computer, accessible by the coaching and player personnel staff. Desposito also oversaw the club's upgrade to HD technology and is responsible for the "Thunder Cloud" tablet downloads of video for players, coaches and road scouts.
It's time-consuming work that involves late nights and tight deadlines, and the game film that Desposito and his staff generates – as well as that of every NFL team – is uploaded to a network that all 32 teams have access to.
Desposito came to New Orleans after serving as assistant video director from 1998-2001 for the Jacksonville Jaguars. He worked from 1993-97 for the New York Giants as an intern, coach's show assistant and video assistant.
A native of Little Ferry, N.J., Desposito graduated from William Paterson University with a degree in communications.
