Douglas Miller is in his 35th season in the National Football League and his 18th campaign with the New Orleans Saints, where he is responsible for the team's day-to-day communications and public relations efforts, having been promoted to vice president of football communications in October. Miller joined the Saints staff in 2006 after 15 seasons with the New York Jets, where he served in a variety of roles, including his last four as director of public relations. He began his career in 1991 as an intern in the Jets' department before being hired full-time.

The Pittsburgh, Pa. native first served as a student assistant in the sports information department at the University of Pittsburgh as an undergraduate in the late 1980s. Miller completed his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York. He resides on the Northshore with his wife, Carolyn. They have one son, Tyler, and one daughter, Lauren, who is in the U.S. Air Force.
