Jon Sandusky, a veteran of 22 seasons in player personnel, enters his ninth season with the New Orleans Saints as an area scout. Prior to coming to New Orleans, he spent five seasons with the Cleveland Browns, four as director of player personnel and one as a player personnel associate. He joined the Browns in 2010 after serving nine years in the Philadelphia Eagles player personnel department. He joined the Eagles in 2001 as an intern, served as pro scout from 2002-07 and was promoted to director of pro personnel in 2008. Sandusky was a coaching intern in 2000 at Penn State.
A native of State College, Pa., Sandusky played safety for Penn State from 1996-99 and earned an exercise science degree. He was a member of the Big Ten's all-academic squad from 1998-99 and received the Frank Patrick Commitment Award in 1998 for his dedication, academics and conditioning.
