Natalie Phipps, who brings nine years of experience in his field, enters her second season with the Saints. She is responsible for treating and rehabilitating players throughout the year as an assistant athletic trainer.
Phipps came to the Saints after spending one year as associate director of athletic medicine – football at Baylor University. After completing her doctoral studies at the University of Miami in May, 2021, Phipps served as a seasonal physical therapist and athletic trainer for the Indianapolis Colts for one year. From 2018-21, while completing her doctoral studies at the University of Miami (Fla.), she was engaged in several positions throughout the nation. During her tenure with the Hurricanes, she served as an athletic trainer for the school's Department of Wellness and Recreation Club and Intramural Sports. She also volunteered with the school's football program and served physical therapy rotations in Florida, Arizona and Massachusetts to complete her doctoral studies Phipps received her first practical experience as an undergraduate at Ohio State, serving athletic training and rehabilitation needs with the Buckeyes' football, baseball and track and field programs.
Phipps originally graduated from Ohio State in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in athletic training from their school of health and rehabilitation sciences. She then received her doctorate of physical therapy from the University of Miami in 2021.
