NFL CAREER - Blackmon is a seven-year NFL veteran who was originally selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the third round (85th overall) in the 2020 NFL Draft out of Utah, joining the Saints at the start of 2025 training camp. He has appeared in 67 regular season games with 63 starts, recording 300 tackles (224 solo), 1.5 sacks, 13 stops for loss, ten interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown, 22 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, four fumble recoveries, and seven coverage stops. He has also played in one postseason contest with Indianapolis, starting at safety and tallying five solo stops. Blackmon started the 2025 opener for the Saints before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury and will return in to the team's offseason strength and conditioning program at full strength, bringing experience and playmaking ability to the defensive backs room.
