Biography

NFL CAREER – Originally selected by the Chiefs in the third round (84th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft out of Western Illinois, Khalen Saunders enters his sixth NFL season and second with New Orleans in 2024. The St. Louis native has appeared in 55 career regular season games with 22 starts, recording 138 tackles (64 solo), 4.5 sacks, three passes defensed and four stops for loss. The sixth-year pro has also appeared in six postseason contests, posting eight tackles (six solo) and one sack as a member of Kansas City's Super Bowl LIV and LVII Championship teams. Saunders turned in his most productive season as a pro in 2023, starting all 17 games for the first time and recorded career-highs in tackles (57), solo stops (24), and saw action at fullback in the goal-line package.
