October 22, 1978, at Los Angeles Rams at L.A. Memorial Coliseum - QB Archie Manning connected with Tony Galbreath on a 19-yard touchdown late in the fourth quarter to give the Saints a 10-3 win, dropping the previously 7-0 Rams form the ranks of the unbeaten as the Saints won in the L.A. Coliseum for the first time in their 12-year history. Upon arriving at the airport in New Orleans the team was greeted by 800 screaming fans and several TV crews.
