"The impact of Virginia Halas McCaskey on the Chicago Bears and the National Football League has been significant. Not only did Virginia have a great passion for the Bears, their fans and the NFL, she was committed to doing right by everyone. The only thing that exceeded that was her commitment to her faith and her family. Today, we mourn her passing as our sport has lost not only an important historical figure, but also a dear and valued friend. We extend our condolences to the McCaskey and Halas families."
