POSTGAME NOTES

  • New Orleans fell to Tampa Bay 27-19, finishing the season at 5-12.
  • Quarterback Spencer Rattler threw for 240 yards on 26-of-42 passing, one touchdown and zero interceptions. In the first half, Rattler completed passes to 10 different Saints. The 26 completions were the highest total of the season for the rookie QB.
  • Running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire posted eight carries for 26 yards and one reception for 14 yards in his second game as a Saint.
  • Tight end Juwan Johnson was a consistent target for Rattler, adding six receptions for a season-best 80 yards (13.3 avg.). With 80 yards receiving Sunday, he finished the season with 548 yards, setting a new career-high and surpassing his previous best of 502 in 2022.
  • Wide receiver/return specialist Dante Pettis added two catches for 16 yards, including his first touchdown as a Saint to go along with a punt return for nine yards.
  • Linebacker Demario Davis led the Saints defense with nine tackles (six solo) and a pass defense, pushing his season total to 136 stops, his highest total in his seven seasons as a Saint.
  • Linebacker Nephi Sewell made his first start of the season at linebacker for New Orleans and tied a career-high with eight stops (five solo) and a sack.
  • Safety Will Harris added eight solo stops and a pass defense to lead the Saints secondary while DB Ugo Amadi added seven stops.
  • Defensive end Cameron Jordan played in his 226th career regular season game on Sunday, putting him in sole possession of 14th all-time among NFL defensive linemen past Pro Football Hall of Famer Carl Eller (Class of 2004).
  • Safety Jordan Howden added three solo stops and his second interception of the season.
  • Long snapper Zach Wood played in his 132nd career game, moving into sole possession of 26th in record books on the club's games played list past Pro Football Hall of Fame T William Roaf (Class of 2012).
  • Kicker Blake Grupe was perfect Sunday, making all four of his field goal tries with a long of 49 and his only extra point attempt.
  • Punter Matthew Hayball added three punts with a 43.7 gross/net punting average, including two inside the 20-yard line to increase his league-leading total to 41 on the season.
  • Safety Millard Bradford elevated to the active roster from the practice squad for the season finale, led the team with two special teams tackles.
