- The Saints fell to the Denver Broncos 33-10 on Thursday night. New Orleans returns to action Sunday, O t. 27 against the Los Angeles Chargers at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Calif. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:05 p.m. and the game will be regionally televised on FOX (WVUE-8 locally).
- Rookie quarterback Spencer Rattler got his second start of his NFL career Thursday. He finished 22 of 35 for 172 yards, while adding 28 rushing yards on three carries (9.8 avg.), including a 28-yard carry.
- In the fourth quarter, quarterback Jake Haener entered the game after Rattler suffered a hip pointer injury and went three for four for 38 yards and threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to receiver Cedrick Wilson Jr.
- Running back Kendre Miller, in his season debut, led the Saints in rushing with six carries for 36 yards and added two receptions.
- Wilson, who saw his most extensive action at wide receiver as a Saint, finished with six grabs for 57 yards, including the touchdown catch from Haener late in the fourth quarter.
- Wide receiver Mason Tipton finished with six catches for 45 yards, while fellow rookie wide receiver Bub Means rounded out the wideout trio with three receptions for 37 yards.
- Tight end Foster Moreau was effective again for the Saints offense. Moreau hauled in two receptions for 38 yards, including a 32-yard grab.
- Linebacker Demario Davis played in his 200th career game and finished with seven tackles (five solo).
- Fellow Mississippi native, linebacker Willie Gay Jr., finished with two tackles (one solo) and one forced fumble/fumble recovery. Gay now leads the team with two fumble recoveries.
- Defensive back Jordan Howden led the team with eight stops (four solo), receiving a start.
- Punter Matthew Hayball punted six times for 267 yards (44.5 gross avg), including three downed inside the 20-yard line.
- Kicker Blake Grupe drilled a field goal of 35 yards and made the only PAT. Grupe has made all 11 field-goal attempts on the season for a club-best 51 points and dating to the 2023 campaign has made 17 consecutive field-goal attempts. Grupe also had one special teams tackle.
- Defensive back J.T. Gray finished with one special teams tackle, increasing his team-high total to 14 on the season.
