The event will now take place on Saturday evening, Oct. 26 from 5:30 p.m.-9 p.m. at Club XLIV and Encore at Champions Square.
The change was made to facilitate fans being able to attend the home opener for the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday, Oct. 25 at Smoothie King Center at 7 p.m..
Club XLIV and Encore are located next to the Smoothie King Center and the move enables area fans to support the first game at home for Zion Williamson and his teammates on Friday before honoring two of the great players in Saints history on Saturday, along with a key contributor to the Saints being in New Orleans.
This year's induction class includes former Saints wide receiver Marques Colston and former Saints running back Reggie Bush, both of whom were drafted by the Saints in 2006 and played integral roles in the 2009 Super Bowl XLIV championship season.
Former Louisiana governor Kathleen Blanco will receive the Joe Gemelli Fleur de Lis award for her significant contributions in helping get the Superdome repaired which allowed the Saints to return to New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina.
New Orleans Saints alumni from around the country will attend, along with many current New Orleans Saints dignitaries.
The event includes a taste of New Orleans, with 25 prominent restaurants and caterers providing food and drink, along with a silent auction of sports memorabilia and many door prizes.
The cost is $75 per person.
All proceeds benefit the non-profit Saints Hall of Fame Museum, located at Gate B in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
