Slowed by two lost fumbles and a missed field-goal attempt, the New Orleans Saints trail the Cleveland Browns 6-3 at halftime on Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.
Receivers Michael Thomas and Ted Ginn Jr. each lost a fumble in the half. Wil Lutz made a 31-yard field goal and missed a 44-yard attempt.
Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins had the team's first sack of the season and the defense held on a fourth-down attempt by Cleveland in the second quarter.
Kicker Zane Gonzales made two field goals for the Browns.
