The Saints and Bills have met ten times with New Orleans holding a 6-4 lead riding a four-game winning streak in the series. The Saints have a 4-1 record in contests played at New Era Field. Two of the games have been decided by a touchdown or less, one by four points. The teams first faced off in 1973, as the Saints recorded a 13-0 shutout, the first in club history. The teams did not meet again for seven years. This will be the first regular season meeting between the Saints and the Bills at New Era Field since a 27-7 New Orleans win in 2009.
