John DeShazier: Willie Snead IV inactive for Saints-Packers game

Receiver made his season debut last week

Green Bay, Wis. – Receiver Willie Snead IV headlined the list of inactive players Sunday for the Saints against Green Bay, as New Orleans looks to win its fourth consecutive game after an 0-2 start.

Snead made his season debut last Sunday against Detroit, after missing the first three games due to a league suspension and the fourth game with an injured hamstring. His practice participation last week was limited as the team continues to monitor his hamstring. He caught one pass for 11 yards in the 52-38 victory over the Lions and now has missed more games this season (five) than he did in the previous two seasons combined (two).

Snead's inactive status paved the way for Tommylee Lewis (seven catches for 84 yards this season) to rejoin the gameday rotation after Lewis was inactive against Detroit.

Another surprise inactive was defensive end Hau'oli Kikaha, who wasn't listed on the injury report this week. Kikaha is tied for second on the team with two sacks entering Sunday's game. Kikaha's inactive status allows rookie defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad to be active for the second time in his NFL career.

The Saints' remaining inactives are Taysom Hill (third quarterback), cornerback Sterling Moore, guard John Greco, receiver Austin Carr and defensive tackle John Hughes III.
