The New Orleans Saints' 19-17 comeback win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday, Aug. 18 delivered a 34.1 TV rating, highest in the NFL by nearly 10 points.
The Chiefs had the second-highest rating with a 24.4. The Saints' afternoon game was broadcast nationally by CBS (WWL-4 locally) and also delivered a 52 household share, again tops in the NFL. Seattle was second with a 46 share.
In the NFC South, the Carolina Panthers had the second-highest rating (10.6), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were third (7.5) and the Atlanta Falcons were fourth (5.8).
