"It is with great sadness that we have learned about the passing of Mike Ornstein today. Mike was beloved by countless members of our organization for nearly two decades, from Mrs. Benson, Dennis Lauscha and Mickey Loomis, to the team's coaching staffs, to hundreds of current and former players and hundreds of staff members. He was a one-of-a-kind person who left an immediate impact on anyone he met. Mike truly cared about people and always wanted to help them. He loved being around the Saints organization, whether at a practice, at a game or just interacting with people and having a conversation in the cafeteria. Along with his love of the New Orleans Saints, Mike grew to have a great affinity for the city of New Orleans. He cared about this community greatly and wanted the best for it. Our thoughts go out to Kristi and his son, Jackson."
