The New Orleans Saints are excited to announce a new partnership with Venture Global, a leader in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) industry, dedicated to making a positive impact in Louisiana. This collaboration aims to enhance community support, educational initiatives, and workforce development across the state.
Venture Global is deeply committed to Louisiana and being a reliable and responsible partner in the communities it serves. The company actively gives back to Louisiana's parishes, including assisting in hurricane recovery efforts, supporting local school systems and community initiatives, and conducting free-of-charge workforce training programs to empower Louisiana's frontline communities.
"Venture Global has demonstrated its commitment to Louisiana through various initiatives, and we are thrilled to partner with them," said New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson. "Together, we will work to uplift our communities and create opportunities for the next generation."
"We look forward to partnering with the New Orleans Saints organization on new and exciting ways to foster growth and development in Louisiana in a thoughtful and responsible manner," said Venture Global CEO Mike Sabel. "From expanding Venture Global's Will to Skill program that provides free workforce training – which will be highlighted during this Saints season – to coastal restoration efforts and youth development programs, we are excited to work with the Saints in ensuring every member of our community has access to the tools they need to succeed."
Earlier this year, Venture Global announced a groundbreaking donation of $6 million over the next three years, aimed at directly supporting public school teachers and staff in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. This funding will enhance the annual compensation of 270 teachers and staff by approximately 15%, creating a more supportive environment for education in the region.
Venture Global's investment in Cameron Parish is just one aspect of its broader commitment to workforce training and apprenticeship programs across Louisiana. The company's "Will to Skill" program provides free skilled labor and technical training to frontline community members, empowering them to embark on successful trade careers. By the end of 2024, the program is on track to graduate over 300 students, transforming lives and strengthening families.
Additionally, Venture Global has successfully launched an inaugural apprenticeship program for operations and maintenance roles in Cameron Parish, recruiting all apprentices from SOWELA Technical Community College. Each apprentice has secured full-time employment, and Venture Global plans to expand this program with larger recruitment classes and further opportunities across Louisiana.
The New Orleans Saints are proud to support Venture Global's mission and look forward to working together to make a lasting difference in our communities.
