In their second clash against an AFC opponent in 2024 and their second home game in five days, the New Orleans Saints (2-4) will host the Denver Broncos (3-3) on "Thursday Night Football." Thursday night's matchup is the first time the Saints have hosted Denver since Nov. 13, 2016 and it will mark the second consecutive season the Black and Gold host a game on the "Thursday Night Football" package viewed on Amazon Prime Video (WDSU 6 locally). It will be Sean Payton's first head coaching appearance against New Orleans. Payton, who led the franchise from 2006-21 before stepping down following the 2021 season, was hired as Denver's coach in 2023.

While the Saints have a 3-9 all-time record against the Broncos, New Orleans broke a five-game losing streak in the series with a 31-3 victory in Denver on Nov. 29, 2020 in the last meeting. Spencer Rattler is expected to make his second consecutive start against one of the NFL's top-ranked defenses, both in opponent yardage and opponent scoring.
