ESPN announced that in the New Orleans market the game produced a combined 56.8 rating (13.0 rating on ESPN). The Houston market produced a combined 25.9 rating. Nationally, the broadcast averaged 13.2 million viewers across ESPN and ESPN Deportes, according to Nielson, and that's a 25 percent year-over-year increase and was the network's most-watched opening doubleheader since 2015, according to a press release from ESPN.
