Sio Moore will assist the New Orleans Saints coaching staff for the 2024 preseason, as part of the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship program.

Moore brings extensive knowledge and experience from a four-year NFL playing career to the Saints in the preseason.

Originally a third round choice (66th overall) of the Oakland Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Connecticut, Moore played in 46 career games with 29 starts at linebacker, while also contributing on special teams for the Raiders (2013-14), Indianapolis Colts (2015-16) and Arizona Cardinals (2016). The West Haven, Ct. native posted career totals of 209 tackles (157 solo), 7.5 sacks, two passes defensed, four forced fumbles and nine special teams stops. Moore earned PFWA All-Rookie honors in 2013, when he played in 15 games with 11 starts and recorded 47 tackles, 4.5 sacks, one forced fumble and three coverage stops.

In four seasons (2009-12) at UConn, Moore played in 41 games with 31 starts and recorded 274 tackles, 44 stops for loss, 16 sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. He was named first-team All-Big East as a senior in 2012 after playing in all 12 games for the Huskies with ten starts and finishing with 72 tackles, 15.5 stops for loss and eight sacks.

Established in 1987, the Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellowship provides NFL coaching experience to a diverse group of participants every year. The program is named after the man who conceived the idea – late Pro Football Hall of Fame head coach Bill Walsh – and exposes talented minority college coaches, high school coaches and former players to the methods and philosophies of NFL coaching staffs. Walsh introduced the concept to the league in 1987, when he brought a group of aspiring minority coaches into his San Francisco 49ers' training camp.
