The New Orleans Saints (2-3) will look to bounce back and break a three game losing streak on Sunday when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2) for an important divisional matchup at the Caesars Superdome. It will be the first of two home contests in a five day stretch, followed up by a Thursday Night Football contest against the Denver
Broncos.
Sunday's contest will be the 65th regular season matchup all-time between the two clubs - who became NFC South rivals in 2002 - with the Saints holding a 40-24 advantage in the series. New Orleans snapped a three-game losing streak against the Buccaneers last year in a 23-13 win at Raymond James Stadium, where the Saints moved into a tie for first place in the NFC South.
The Saints hold a 21-11 advantage over Tampa Bay at home, including a nine-game winning streak that stretched from 1984-98.
New Orleans will defend a Buccaneers offense ranked 19th in the NFL in net yards per game (20th rushing and 11th passing), while the defense is ranked 30th (16th against the run and 28th against the pass). The New Orleans offense led is tied for 17th in the NFL (tenth rushing and 21st passing, while the defense ranks 23rd (seventh against the run and 26th against the pass).

The Saints and Buccaneers first met in 1977. New Orleans has posted a 40-24 regular season record vs. Tampa Bay, the club's best winning percentage (.619) vs. an opponent they've played at least eight games against.
In the 64 regular season games of the series there has been:
- 2,156 points scored by New Orleans, 1,190 allowed.
- A seven-game regular season New Orleans winning streak from 2011-2014 and from 2018-2021.
- A 21-11 record for the Saints in games played at the Caesars Superdome.

THE LAST REGULAR SEASON MEETING
Buccaneers 13, Saints 23; Dec. 31, 2023 @ Raymond James Stadium – With their playoff hopes on the line the New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23-13 on Sunday at Raymond James Stadium.
Quarterback Derek Carr had a strong game, completing 24 of 32 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns, the first a 4-yarder to tight end Juwan Johnson and the second a 22-yarder to Taysom Hill. Johnson had the best game of his career with eight catches for 90 yards. Kicker Blake Grupe had three field goals (45, 28 and 38 yards). Running back Jamaal Williams took most of the snaps after Kamara left, carrying 19 times for 58 yards and catching four passes for 13 yards. FULL GAME RECAP
