"The New Orleans Saints mourn the passing of Don Banks, a gentleman and highly respected reporter. Our franchise has been blessed by his insightful and thoughtful coverage through the better part of the last three decades. Don was a gifted reporter and writer and forged meaningful relationships with many of us. His outstanding work with Sports Illustrated, NFL Media, The Athletic, Tampa Tribune often brought him to New Orleans and he was a staunch supporter of our great city. Our thoughts are with his wife, Alissa and sons Matt and Micah."
