NEW ORLEANS SAINTS VS. CHICAGO BEARSSUNDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2017 ● MERCEDES-BENZ SUPERDOMESAINTS QUARTERBACK DREW BREES
On the game today:
"We found a way to win. It was a good team win, but nobody is real satisfied in that locker room right now. We still have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of room for improvement. We are not satisfied where we are right now. We still feel like we have a long way to go."
On his emotions at the end of the game when defense is on the field:
"You are preparing yourself. The first time we stopped them the score was 17-12. I was preparing to have a drive that is going to get us a field goal to win the game. After that, I'm preparing for overtime. I'm not a fan. I am very much locked in on what we might have to go out there and do to finish the game."
On the Ted Ginn Jr. long pass play in the fourth quarter:
"I just launched it. I had to step up. I felt like he had speed and the safety was recovering deep. I thought there was an opportunity to launch it and give him a chance. He came down with the catch and made a great play."
On Chicago taking away the big plays:
"We had opportunities for a couple of big plays, but the pressure got to us. They did a nice job. That's football. That's the balance. They better get there in time or they open themselves up for big plays. Sometimes they get you."
