The Saints agreed to terms with wide receiver Dante Pettis on a one-year contract extension on March 11, 2025.
Pettis, 6-2, 200, was originally selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round (44th overall) of the 2018 NFL Draft out of the University of Washington. The San Clemente, Calif. native has played in 58 career games with 19 starts for the 49ers (2018-20), New York Giants (2020-21), Chicago Bears (2022) and Saints (2024), recording 83 receptions for 1,104 yards (13.3 avg.) and 13 touchdowns, along with three carries for 35 yards. He has also completed both of his pass attempts for 32 yards.
Chase Young
The Saints agreed to terms with defensive end Chase Young on a three-year contract extension on March 11, 2025.
After Young signed with New Orleans as an unrestricted free agent in the 2024 offseason, the Upper Marlboro, Md. native played in all 17 contests for New Orleans and was a key contributor on the edge, posting 31 tackles (21 solo), 5.5 sacks for a loss of 29.5 yards, a career-high 21 quarterback hits, eight stops for a loss, one forced fumble and three pass breakups. According to Pro Football Focus, Young finished last season with 66 quarterback pressures, tied for seventh among all edge defenders.

Juwan Johnson
The Saints agreed to terms with tight end Juwan Johnson on a three-year contract extension on March 11, 2025.
Johnson, 6-4, 231, has played in 67 games with 34 starts since joining New Orleans in 2020 as an undrafted free agent out of Oregon. In five seasons, Johnson has recorded 146 receptions for 1,622 yards (11.1 avg) and 18 touchdowns. Since 2022, Johnson's 14 touchdown grabs are tied for seventh in the NFL among tight ends.

The former Dutchtown (Geismar, La.) standout has played in 106 career regular season games with 102 starts for the Texans (2018-21) and Kansas City Chiefs (2022-24), recording 565 tackles (412 solo), 23 stops for a loss, six sacks, ten interceptions, with one returned 101 yards for a touchdown, 46 pass breakups, three forced fumbles, three fumble recoveries and 15 special teams stops.

Will Clapp
The Saints agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent center/guard Will Clapp on a one-year contract on March 13, 2025.
Clapp, 6-5, 314, returns to New Orleans after first joining the Saints in 2018 as a seventh round draft pick (245th overall) out of LSU. Stoll, 6-4, 247, is a four-year NFL veteran who was originally signed as an undrafted free agent in 2021 by the Philadelphia Eagles out of Nebraska. The Saints agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent cornerback Isaac Yiadom on a three-year contract on March 13, 2025.
Yiadom, 6-1, 188, returns to New Orleans after contributing on defense and special teams for the Saints from 2022-23. The Saints agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent running back Velus Jones Jr. on a one-year contract on March 17, 2025.
Jones, 6-0, 200, is a three-year NFL veteran who was originally selected by the Chicago Bears in the third round (71st overall) of 2022 NFL Draft out of Tennessee. Landon Young
The Saints agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent offensive tackle Landon Young on a one-year contract on March 18, 2025.
Young, 6-7, 321, is a four-year NFL veteran who was originally selected in the sixth round (206th overall) by New Orleans in the 2021 NFL Draft out of Kentucky. In his career, the Lexington, Ky. native has appeared in 56 games with 12 starts, providing versatility at both guard spots, both tackle positions, as a sixth offensive lineman, and also contributing on special teams. In 2024, he appeared in all 17 contests with five starts, including four at right guard and one at left guard.
BRANDIN COOKS
The Saints agreed to terms with unrestricted free agent wide receiver Brandin Cooks on a two-year contract on March 21, 2025.
Cooks, 5-10, 190, is an 11-year NFL veteran who was originally selected by the Saints in the first round (20th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft out of Oregon State. In three seasons with New Orleans, Cooks appeared in 42 games with 31 starts, catching 215 passes for 2,861 yards (13.3 avg.) and 20 touchdowns along with 21 rushing attempts for 121 yards (5.8 avg.) and one touchdown. Cooks has appeared in 158 career games with 144 starts for New Orleans (2014-16), the New England Patriots (2017), Los Angeles Rams (2018-19), Houston Texans (2020-22) and the Dallas Cowboys (2023-24), posting career totals of 710 receptions for 9,532 yards (13.4 avg.) and 60 touchdowns along with 58 rushes for 341 yards (5.9 avg.) and two scores.
