New Orleans Saints agree to terms with DB Ugo Amadi

 In six years with Seattle (2019-21), Tennessee Titans (2022), Kansas City Chiefs (2022), and New Orleans (2023-), Ugo Amadi has appeared in 78 games with 17 starts, recording 186 tackles (147 solo), 12 stops for a loss, one interception, 22 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, 23 coverage stops and one special teams fumble recovery.

New Orleans Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Mickey Loomis announced today that the club has re-signed defensive back Ugo Amadi to a one-year contract.

Amadi, 5-9, 205, is a six-year NFL veteran who was originally selected in the fourth round (132nd overall) by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2019 NFL Draft out of Oregon. In six years with Seattle (2019-21), Tennessee Titans (2022), Kansas City Chiefs (2022), and New Orleans (2023-), the Nashville, Tenn. native has appeared in 78 games with 17 starts, recording 186 tackles (147 solo), 12 stops for a loss, one interception, 22 pass breakups, two forced fumbles, 23 coverage stops and one special teams fumble recovery. In three postseason appearances with Seattle, he recorded three tackles (two solo) and one coverage stop.

In his two seasons with the Saints, Amadi has appeared in 28 games with five starts, posting 75 tackles (56 solo), two sacks, nine pass breakups, and four coverage stops. In 2024, Amadi played in 11 games for New Orleans with five starts and posted career numbers in numerous categories, recording career-highs in tackles (63), solo stops (50), sacks (two), stops for a loss (six), tied a career-high in pass breakups (seven) and added two special teams stops. He also recorded nine tackles in three consecutive weeks (vs. ATL, vs. CLE, vs. LAR), tying his career high.
