New Orleans Saints guards Ben Grubbs and Jahri Evans will be protecting QB Drew Brees in the Pro Bowl as Brees and team captain Jerry Rice selected the Saints duo for Team Rice on the first day of the NFL's all-star game draft Tuesday.
For the first time, the Pro Bowl is "unconferenced," with Pro Football Hall of Famers Deion Sanders and Rice serving as team captains. Brees, Kanasas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles, St. Louis Rams DE Robert Quinn and Houston Texans DE J.J. Watt will serve as honorary captains. Brees and Quinn will be part of Team Rice and Charles and Watt will be members of Team Sanders.
Centers, guards, interior defensive linemen, fullbacks and specialists were selected Tuesday.
TE Jimmy Graham and DE Cameron Jordan will find who they are playing for Wednesday night when quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, tackles, defensive ends, linebackers and defensive backs are drafted.
Fans can track the Pro Bowl Draft live on their phone, tablet or computer before, during and after the draft on NFL.com/probowldraft.
The Pro Bowl will be played Sunday, January 26 and will be televised live on NBC at 7:00 PM ET from Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. For the first time, players were selected without regard to conference in voting by fans, coaches and players.
